About the new budget

Yesterday, the final session of the SOVSEM (VGD Parliament) took place, where the Drakonberg budget for the already started financial year was finally approved. According to the law, the budget should have been adopted three days ago, but due to significant changes in the new budget compared to the previous one, the debate dragged on longer than expected.

The final budget is published on the official website of the VGD, and the resolution adopted yesterday is in the "Government" section.

This unusual situation arose due to the huge overspending of budget funds in two categories: "Healthcare" and "Science and Education". When planning budget expenditures, the government proceeds from the current need, taking into account possible needs during the year. However, this time the forecasts turned out to be wrong.

The excess of health care costs was caused by force majeure circumstances and could not have been planned initially. In addition, the planned budget simply did not cover such large expenses.

As for science and education, the new resident of the state needed active training: even a mongrel street dog taken as a small puppy managed to damage its psyche so much that it was necessary to work with a dog trainer. The services of a dog trainer are expensive. Of course, the effect of the classes is enormous, but the budget expenditures also exceeded the planned level many times over.

In the new budget, it was also necessary to increase expenditures on food imports. On the one hand, this is due to the total rise in prices for food, on the other - with the need to buy dog food. The total amount of income and expenses was increased based on the real income of the state, which previously went to the reserve fund.

Fortunately, last year, budget revenues turned out to be significantly higher than planned, and thanks to off-budget revenues, the overall balance was surplus.

In the coming year, the Government will try to take into account all situations, and we hope that by the end of the coming year there will be no budget deficit.
