Drakonberg Creation Day

Today our micronation (although we do not consider this term to be completely correct, but it is the customary name) celebrates another birthday. Although our clan has existed since ancient times (as our epic tells us), our state itself appeared relatively recently: 11 years ago. However, in the world of micronations - this is a huge period of time...

Below we want to summarize some results of the past year and share our plans for the future. However, everything is not so simple...

Life in Drakonberg has been fairly stable. We have had very few government resolutions passed, we have had little activity in the international arena. But life inside the state is very active. In terms of economy everything is stable, but we clearly see threats from the apparent destruction of the usual world order.

Yes, we believe that the political life of micronations does not intersect in any way with the politics of the real world. That is why (unlike many other micronations) we never make political statements about events on earth. But along with belonging to Drakonberg, we inevitably belong to the states of the real world. And we cannot but be alarmed by the growing aggressiveness in the world, the visible destruction of economic ties and the breakdown of political alliances.

Unfortunately, Drakonberg's economy is not self-sufficient; we import products, energy, machinery... At the same time, only the labor of our citizens is exported. This is probably the fate of the vast majority of virtual states, it is natural. But we plan to make adjustments to this situation.

As for our activity in the political field, it seems to us that micronations on the territory of the former USSR have actually disappeared. And to communicate with distant states we need a common language (literally) and common interests, as well as mutual understanding. But if even real states increase alienation, it is even more difficult to maintain ties in the microworld. However, we hope that just in spite of the world of real politics, the world of virtual politics manages to preserve partnership, friendship and cooperation. We are always open to this!
