New Year has arrived!

In Drakonberg, this holiday is celebrated for two days: December 31st and January 1st: the end of the old year and the beginning of the new. The tradition has remained constant for many years, even decades: all citizens of the state gather around a festive table, make toasts, and sing songs – also from years past. The tradition goes like this...
This year's "New Year tree" is also small (photo clickable!), the reason for this is a shaggy resident of our state. He's grown a lot, but still thinks the decorations on the tree are meant for him.

But beyond toasts and songs, the past year's results and prospects for the next are also discussed.

This year has not been an easy one. Many events are happening in the world, not always joyful. Even though, as a virtual state, we are not connected to the world of real states, we are still inhabitants of Earth and citizens of a real state. This means that all events in the world affect us in one way or another.

Budget expenditures were higher than planned, and unfortunately, this trend continues. Meanwhile, state revenues are growing very slowly. The government is making every effort to maintain economic stability and the exchange rate of the Drakonberg currencies (nulin and ergid), and so far, it has succeeded. It is difficult to say what will happen in the coming year.

Our research into the past and verification of the veracity of legends have not yet yielded results. More precisely, we have uncovered some interesting details from our family's past, but we are still far from a global solution. We hope that one way or another, in the new year, we will be able to uncover new interesting information in this area.

There are no changes in foreign policy. Partly due to lack of time, partly due to the complete lack of interesting micronations in the former USSR, and the problem with foreign languages ​​preventing extensive contact with micronations in other regions of the world. We don't have any special plans in this area, but anything is possible...
