A new budget has been adopted

Today, a meeting of the SOVSEM was held to approve the internal budget of Drakonberg for the new fiscal year, which began on August 1. The meeting also reviewed the past year's results and assessed the government's performance during this period.

The discussion was quite lively, as important and controversial changes were made to the budget. The budget itself is published in the "Economy" section, and the text of the final resolution is available in the "Government" section.

At the meeting, it was noted that expenditures were significantly overdrawn for some budget items, while for others, expenditures were virtually nonexistent. Taking into account plans for the upcoming year, as well as the experience of the previous year, some budget items were significantly adjusted.

As for revenue, the budget had a surplus last year, but this was due to off-budget revenues. In the new year, a decision was made to reclassify some off-budget revenues as budget revenues, taking into account fixed expenditure amounts for some items. This allowed the budget to be balanced, despite the planned reduction in revenues for some items.

This reduction is based on assumptions about changes in the real-world labor market and, consequently, changes in the state's export capabilities.

At the same time, the Economic Commission was instructed to find additional sources of funding, taking into account the likelihood of a global economic crisis in late 2026 or early 2027.

Overall, the Government's performance was deemed satisfactory, but recommendations for improvement were made.
